Need some help setting up the design of my blog...

I'm looking for some basic pointers on how to make my blog very clean and professional looking. Also, my AdSense ad's are not showing up (at least for me). Could anyone give me some guidelines and possibly help me with the AdSense?

    I can fix you a html to paste into the template html area? What do you need? Colors, style, give me all the details. Just message me or something ;D

    Alos your AdSense is showing up for me, so I guess it's working fine. Disable AdBlock, much?

    Ah, I forgot I had AdBlock active. Okay well, I just want a simple, clean, preferably black or white layout that is easy on the eyes and isn't choppy or uneven, you know?

    So, something like your current design, but with more light (white) colors? And what do you mean with choppy or uneven?
